From now until election day, I am going to blog the Peter Welch race for Congress for the Vermont at Large seat. Kos himself last week noted that "Of all (D) seats, the one I'm sweating most is probable the Vermont at-large seat. That one is getting scary. You Vermont Dems need to make sure that one stays on our column."
Kos is right to be concerned. Martha Rainville is Peter's competitor. She is an army general who is running a low-key, "I'm a nice person and want to stop the bickering in Washington" race. Her campaign's plan is to fly below the radar and spring a surprise win for Republicans in a state that no one thinks is winnable. So far their strategy is working. The blogosphere needs to engage now before it is too late.
My purpose is twofold: to provide accurate, daily information to Kos readers and the blogosphere on this race from the grassroots level, and to help Vermonters and those of you who are out of state to most effectively help the Welch campaign. I will help you to join the campaign and maximize your effort if you contact me.
